Blue Heaven Lip Bomb – Product Review, Price & User Ratings
June 4, 2017 | by ashish963@gmail.com
Blue Heaven is an Indian makeup brand which is known for their affordable makeup products. When this company started out, you could find their products in local beauty shops where bindis and local nail polish were sold, but now you can find this brand in almost any makeup store as well as online. The one thing you will immediately notice about their makeup is that its packaging is almost identical to other brands’ products, but since their products are a lot lighter on the purse strings, people go ahead and buy them.
In today’s post, I will be reviewing one of their inexpensive Lip Bombs in the Bubble Gum variety, whose packaging will remind you of a famous lip balm product.
Price
These Blue Heaven lip bombs are sold for INR 85, and you get 8gm of product.

It comes in a spherical container which from afar will look like a small ball or a ”bomb”, and the product inside is in the shape of a half dome. It is identical to the EOS Lip Balms.

How It Performed and My Thoughts
When it comes to lip balms, I have always been a harsh critic. Maybe because I get really dry lips, and the only way they sooth down is by something heavy duty, and not gimmicky. That is why this Blue Heaven Lip Bomb disappointed me on so many levels.
Let’s start by discussing the heavy artificial smell that these lip balms have. I mean it is just too much, and it gets to you after a while. When I was purchasing these at the shop, I asked if I could get a whiff of all the three varieties, and god were they awfully strong and fake. The bubble gum one was probably the most bearable of the three so I purchased it.
Coming to its texture, when you swatch it on your hand, it will have a nice shine to it, when you look at the balm itself, it looks like it will hydrate your lips, but when you finally put it on your lips, it just doesn’t work. It feels like you are putting some slippery grease on your lips. The product keeps moving around, it doesn’t feel hydrating, and then within the next twenty minutes it will be gone. I have never liked lip balms that leave your lips feeling dry once it rubs off. The whole point of using a lip balm is so that once the product goes off you are left with smooth, hydrated, soft lips.
This Blue Heaven lip balm has been a major disappointment, and I will not recommend it to anybody. Spend a few extra bucks and get something from Nivea or Lotus Herbals, at-least their products do something worthwhile.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- Affordable price
- Cute packaging
Cons
- Is not hydrating
- Doesn’t heal chapped lips
- Feels weird on the lips
- Has an awful artificial smell
Rating
I will rate this product 2 out of 5, because it was a complete disaster and no one should have to go through such an atrocity.
