Hey girls, you need to take great care of yourself. While you have sex with your boyfriend there is a possibility of having STI (Sexually Transmitted Infection). So be sure you keep yourself clean and if you have a slightest sign of changes in yourself, with your body giving the indications, visit a doctor. If you don’t treat STI you are in for further health challenges.
One such challenge is PID. This disease is pretty high among teenagers. PID or Pelvic Inflammatory Disease is the complication that arises out of untreated STI (Sexually Transmitted Infection). It is an infection of the female reproductive organ, which causes irreversible damage to the Fallopian tubes, uterus, ovaries and causes infertility.
Here is how you get PID
The work of the cervix is to prevent bacteria entering the vagina and the inside organs. If the cervix is infected by Chlamydia or Gonorrhea, but it goes untreated, PID kicks in. When the bacteria infects the cervix and inside the vagina, that is when it causes damage. So 90% of PID cases are due to untreated Chalmydia and Gonorrhea.
Look out for the symptoms of PID in the video. Enjoy but, have safe sex.
