Black Salt (Saindhava salt / Saindha namak)

Himej = Haritaki (Terminalia chebula)
Svarjika Kshara – a type of Kshara preparation
Jethi Madh = Yasthimadhu = liquorice = Glycyrrhiza glabra.

Kayam Churna is a medicinal product that claims to be beneficial for chronic constipation, gas, acidity, mouth ulcers, and even headaches.
How to Use?
Consume 1 or 2 teaspoon full of the powder with a glass of warm water before going to bed.
How This Kayam Churn Works?
Each of the herbs that are blended to make this product have a specific benefit to the human body. The senna leaves and haritaki leaves have mild laxative like properties, the herb trivrit on the other hand is a purgative ayurvedic substance that acts as a strong laxative. Yasthimadhu is good for curing stomach problems like gas or acidity, and even for dealing with mouth ulcers. Saindhava lavana and Swarjika kshara are frequently used in conditions of gastritis. Furthermore, they also help in improving the digesting capacity of the stomach and intestines.
Side Effects
Since this product is in a nutshell a laxative, consuming large quantities of it will cause severe stomach aches, diarrhoea, and dehydration. Also, a lot of people have said that using this on a daily basis can cause you to get dependant on it. Meaning, it doesn’t cure your constipation, it just gives you temporary relief until the next day when you are again constipated and need to take this medicine again. Only a change in your diet and lifestyle will. Only when you start eating food that is high in fiber, exercise regularly, and get sufficient amount of rest, will your constipation get cured.
