Blue Heaven Xpression Makeup Stick, Product Review, Price & User Reviews
October 3, 2017 | by ashish963@gmail.com
In today’s post, I will be reviewing Blue Heaven’s Xpression makeup stick.
Blue Heaven started off as that makeup brand that was sold in local makeup shops, but I think we can all safely say that this brand has come a long way from there. Their range of products have increased, and for most of them, their quality as well.
Price
This product is priced for INR 95.
Packaging
It comes in a cylindrical lipstick-like case which is black in colour and the product on the inside is like a stick concealer that twist up.
Shades Available
There are 6 shades available, they all have a pink undertone, so you can probably use it for highlighting and under eye concealing.
What It Claims
It is a creamy concealer in stick form, specially developed for face and body to provide you a youthful glow.
How It Performed
Now there is a little confusion as to whether or not this product is a foundation or a concealer. The texture of this product is a little heavy so I wouldn’t really recommend using it as a concealer but since there aren’t enough shade options I can’t even recommend it as a foundation. However, I made a compromise and used it as a concealer, because even the darkest shade was too light for me.
Since it is in a stick form, you can just draw lines on your face, on the areas where you need the coverage, and then blend it out. I used a damp beauty blender to blend this product in, because otherwise it gave a weird patchy finish. With the damp sponge though, it blended seamlessly and actually gave a decent amount of coverage. It has medium to buildable coverage, so you can go with an extra round if you feel like it. Also, when you take the product on a brush first and then apply it on your face, even that makes the texture of the product a little less heavy.
It is quite long wearing since it stayed on my face the entire day and did not fade away. However, I did not sweat or anything when I wore this product, so I can’t really comment on its waterproof nature.
Pros and Cons
Pros:
- Affordable price
- Decent packaging
- Medium to buildable coverage
- Long wearing
Cons:
- Has a thick texture
- Not enough shade options
Rating
I was quite happy with how this product performed. For the price tag, I think it is an absolute star. It is a little heavy in texture, but you can always thin it out. It has medium to buildable coverage, and I will surely recommend it to others. For all these reasons, I’ll rate this 4 out of 5.
