Braun is a German consumer products company that is known for their grooming appliances. Up until 2007, it was a fully owned subsidiary of Gillette but then was acquired by Procter and Gamble, who although have given the perpetual rights to manufacture Braun branded products to someone else, continue own the brand till date.

Their products range from epilators, electric shavers, electric toothbrushes, household and kitchen items, and so on. In today’s review though, I will be reviewing the Braun Female Groomer FG1100, which is a mini, pen-sized trimmer.

This trimmer is a small, pen-like groomer for women, which is pink and silver in color, and comes with a few different types of attachments that are used to trim the hair in a precise manner. It also has a cloth bag which can be used to store the device when traveling.

How It Performed and My Thoughts

I purchased this product mainly because I wanted to steer away from the disposable razors which are not very environment friendly. My first impression on this product was of awe, because of how pretty it looked and how sleek and stylish its design was. Furthermore, this device is light weight which can make certain people apprehensive, but trust me, that does not affect its ability to perform and do what it was made for.

After using this product for two months, I can safely say that it is a value for money tool. The trimmers which are used in the bikini area are precise and sharp. They get rid of the hair without tugging or pulling at it, and they are also easy to clean after, with the brush that comes with the pack. I will admit though, that I was scared to use the precision trimmer for around the eyes because I’ve always been afraid of ending up with a brow mishap.

As far as safety instructions go, make sure that you do not wet the actual device. When you clean the attachments, take them off and dry them properly before using again. Also, since it is a battery operated device, it will keep working as long as your battery has power in it.

Coming to the templates provided for styling your bikini area, I found them really corny, so it is pretty evident that I did not use them. However, it is a matter of personal choice, so if you are into that stuff then you can definitely use them with ease.

I think this device is value for money and a great tool for personal grooming. It is stylish, light weight, has so many different types of attachments, and will work for years without the blades losing their sharpness. It is because of all these reasons I will rate this device a 5 out of 5, and will definitely recommend it to people.
