Indulekha Bringha Hair Oil Review, Price and Product Rating
September 11, 2017 | by ashish963@gmail.com
In this post, I will be writing a review of Indulekha Bringha hair oil and letting you know what my thoughts are on this product with the interesting packaging.
Hair oil has always been an essential element of any Indian household, when it comes to grooming requirements, and every Sunday morning is spent in applying and massaging this product into our hair
Now a lot of us have different kinds of hair and each of us have our set of hair problems as well. Some have brittle hair, some have hair fall, some have dry hair, and the list goes on. Therefore, over the years, cosmetic companies have come up with different hair oils, each claiming that they can tackle a certain kind of hair problem.
So, the question comes is, are they really worth it or just another gimmick?
Price
It retails for INR 234 for 50ml of oil, which in my opinion is too much for a hair oil.
Packaging
The oil comes in a very interesting bottle. The cap is attached with a comb, which is where the oil comes out of, so all you do is directly run the comb through your hair and the oil gets on your scalp.
What It Claims to Do
Indulekha Bringha Oil is an Ayurvedic proprietary medicine recommended for the regulation of hair and scalp, and is meant for reducing hair fall, dandruff, and all other hair care problems.
How It Performed and My Thoughts
My very first impression on this product was regarding its packaging, which is very unique. I was truly intrigued with the comb like attachment that this oil comes with and I wasn’t wrong in guessing what exactly it is meant to do.
So, the way you use this product is by combing your hair with the attachment attached to the bottle. The comb needles have holes in them from which the Bringha oil comes out, so when you run it through your hair, it gets directly applied to your scalp; which is where oil is supposed to go anyway, and later you can massage it more thoroughly.
The oil has a very strong smell to it, which isn’t very appealing to the senses, and if you can’t handle really strong scents then you may not be able to use this. Also, the oil claims to do a lot of things for your hair with its all natural ingredients, but however, it did not do much for my hair.
I used this oil two times a week, for over two months, with the hope that it would at the least reduce my hair fall, if nothing else. But sadly, I did not see much of a difference in the hair fall problem.
It did however, make a small impact on the occasional dandruff that I get in my scalp and in the way my hair felt after washing the oil off.
I’d apply this oil for a few hours during the day and then wash it off in the afternoon, and my hair felt soft afterwards. Also, the oil doesn’t come off that easily, so use a good shampoo and allow it to sit in your hair for a few minutes before washing it off.
Pros and Cons
Pros:
- Good packaging
- Helps in reducing dandruff
- Hair feels soft after using
Cons:
- Expensive
- Has a very strong smell
- Doesn’t reduce hair fall
- Doesn’t wash away very easily
Product Rating
I would rate this oil a 3 out of 5, mainly because it helped with my dandruff situation. However, I won’t be repurchasing it, because it is a bit expensive for hair oil and secondly it didn’t do anything to reduce my hair fall, which is the main thing this product advertises that it does.
Since things like these are very personal, so what didn’t work for me may work for you, and the only way to know that is if you purchase it.
So, if you want, you can always buy one bottle and see for yourself, but from my side, it is a big NO. Save your money and buy something from Nihar or Parachute instead.
