Patanjali Lip Balm – Product Review, Price & User Reviews

August 29, 2017 | by ashish963@gmail.com

In today’s post, I will be reviewing the Patanjali lip balm.

When it comes to certain grooming products, lip balms are considered as an essential and are found in every one’s possession. They keep your lips nice and hydrated, and since the skin on your lips is so fragile, using something that is good in quality and ensures that you do not end up with an allergic reaction is important.

Baba Ramdev’s Patanjali brand is known for manufacturing and selling multiple beauty products in India, and their main tag lag under which they sell their products is that their products are made out of herbal and natural ingredients making them mild and have no side effects.

Price

This Patanjali product is sold for INR 25 for 10 grams.

Packaging

It comes in a plastic tube with strawberries drawn on it, but as per usual it is a typical Patanjali packaging which makes the product look cheap.

Main Ingredients

Like any other Patanjali product, their lip balm is also made up of different kinds of herbal ingredients, the names of which I wouldn’t even be able to pronounce without completely butchering them. However, the base ingredients of this lip balm include wax, vitamin E, and strawberry fragrance.

Colour and Consistency

This lip balm is transparent in colour, and has a light balm like consistency, with a strawberry fragrance.

How It Performed and My Opinion

My first impression of this product was definitely regarding its smell. I really liked the strawberry fragrance that this lip had, which was not too over powering but just the right amount. The balm in itself is a light wax cream which can be easily applied onto your lips and gets easily absorbed.

Having said that, I think this is just another lip balm that you will find among the millions that are sold in the market. I did not find anything absolutely mind blowing about this product. In fact, I was quite apprehensive before I started using it, mainly because my lips tend to get an allergic reaction from lip products that aren’t made by Nivea. However, they did seem to like this product and I did not have to suffer through any side effects from it. The application was simple, it did not feel extremely waxy on the lip, and due to its transparent colour it did not leave any white caste or anything of that sort on my lips once the product dried out. You will have to reapply it quite often because it rubs off very quickly, but nevertheless it leaves you lips feeling nice and hydrated and gets rid of any flakiness or dryness.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Affordably price
  • Travel friendly size
  • Nice fragrance
  • Light in consistency
  • Gets absorbed easily
  • Makes your lips smooth

Cons

  • Cheap packaging
  • Nothing extraordinary about this product

Rating

I’ll rate this product a 3 out of 5, the two points being deducted because of its two cons.
