Patanjali Saundarya Anti-Aging Cream – Product Review, Price & Other Information
March 14, 2017 | by ashish963@gmail.com
In the beauty and skin care market in India, Baba Ramdev’s Patanjali is one of the most famous names. Even if people don’t use Patanjali products, they at least know about it. Their products are recognised in the market by their packaging, and their claims of using all natural and herbal ingredients.
When it comes to skin care, it is said that to ensure that the signs of ageing do not show up too soon on your face, you need to start using anti-aging products from your mid twenties itself. This allows your skin to retain its youthfulness and slow down the aging process, or at least the way it shows on your skin.
In today’s post, I will be reviewing the Patanjali Saundarya anti-aging cream.
Price
This item is sold in the market for INR 300 for 15 grams.
Packaging
It comes in a small jar with a silver colored cap that screws on tightly. Due to its tiny size, it is travel friendly. I was pleasantly surprised with the packaging of this product which was completely different from the typical Patanjali product packaging.
Color And Consistency
The cream is white in color, has a light creamy texture, and has a strong lavender smell to it.
Main Ingredients
This product has the following active ingredients:
Aloe Vera, triticum aestivum, simmondsia chinensis, persea Americana, buchanania latifolia, carica papaya, musa sapientum, ervum lens, curcuma longa, and rheum emodi.
How It Performed, My Thoughts, And Complaints
My first impression which I got the moment I opened the container of this cream was the lavender smell of the cream, and I’m not going to lie but I did not feel like using it because of that god-awful smell, but if you are someone who enjoys the smell of lavender, then you will like this product.
Coming to its consistency, it has a light creamy texture which makes it easy to apply to the face and also makes the task of blending in the product a dream. I really liked how it quickly absorbed into my skin, but then later on it started to make my skin really oily. I feel like for someone with combination skin, I don’t like using products that are either excessively oily or turn oily with a few minute of application. However, for people with dry skin this product might work out.
Coming to my thoughts on its performance, I’m disappointed. The cream did not give any positive results to my skin, but in turn ended up breaking me out due to its excessive oiliness. I have been using this product for almost two months now and there have been no positive changes on my skin. None of the claims made by the product have come true. Neither is my skin glowing, nor has there been any reduction in the fine lines around my eyes, and there has been no lightening of the pigmentation or spots on my face. Furthermore, the lavender smell lingers for a long time after you are done massaging this cream on your face, and since I personally don’t like the smell of it, I am considering this as a complaint.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- It has a creamy texture that absorbs quickly in your skin
- Easy to blend
- Good packaging
Cons
- Breaks you out
- The price is too high
- Makes your skin incredibly oily
- Doesn’t do anything to reduce signs of aging
Rating
So, in conclusion, I’m absolutely disappointed with this product, nothing claimed by it has come true, the price it charges for that meagre amount of product is insane, the lavender smell is a big turnoff, and its oiliness will end up breaking you out. Due to all these reasons, I’m giving it a 1 out of 5.
