The Top 10 Most Followed Female Celebrities on Instagram in 2017

August 8, 2017 | by ashish963@gmail.com

Anyone with a smart phone and an interest in social media knows what Instagram is. It is an app that people use to share their life through photographs. Now for most of us, our Instagram feeds include pictures of food, our pets, and a horde of selfies taken on different days of the week. However, for certain celebrities, their Intagram feed is their way of sharing with their fans and followers what they are up to and what we can expect from them next.

In today’s post, we will be sharing with you who the top 10 most followed female celebrities are on this social media site.

Number 10: Khloe Kardashian (68.6 Million)

Don’t be surprised if you find half of the Kardashian clan in this post, because let’s get real here; they are famous. Unless you have been living under a rock you would know who the Kardashians are, and although the reason behind them getting famous is debatable, we cannot deny that this family has superior entrepreneurship skills.

Khloe, the 3rd Kardashian in line, is a television personality, socialite, businesswoman, and an entrepreneur. She has starred in her family’s reality show Keeping up with the Kardashian and various other spinoff series, runs a clothing line with her sisters, and has recently co-founded a jeans company called the Good American which is known for making plus sized jeans for women.

Her Instagram feed is a gorgeous array of pictures of flowers in her house, foods that she has cooked, workout shots, and OCD organizing ideas.

Number 9: Miley Cyrus (70.5 Million)

Anyone who has grown up watching Disney Channel as a kid knows who Miley Cyrus is. Now, back in the day she was famous for staring as the lead actor in the Disney show Hannah Montana, a girl who lived a dual life of a pop star and a high school girl, but now she is known for her songs, her role as one of the judges in the reality show The Voice in the US, and borderline controversial music videos made during her breakup period.

Her Instagram is mainly filled with cover shoots for magazines and selfies of her taken out in the sun.

Number 8: Nicki Minaj (82.1 Million)

Nicki Minaj is one of those rappers in the industry who can give her male counterparts a run for their money. She is not only an incredible performer and artist, but a philanthropist doing some real work.

Her most recent work of charity was when she decided to pay off the student loans of multiple kids through twitter, when one of her followers pointed it out that with the money she makes from one of her concerts they could pay off their whole college tuition along with rent and books.

There is no specific theme to her posts on Instagram but rather a jumble of everything under the sun that she feels worth sharing with her fans.

Number 7: Kendall Jenner (82.5 Million)

One of the few people in the fashion industry who has managed to grab top fashion houses like Dior and Chanel to feature her in their fashion shows and ad campaigns, in such a short span of time.

Obviously, the family connects and name gave Kendall Jenner the boost that most people don’t get, but regardless of that she has managed to make a name and career for herself in the fashion industry and become a super model, one of the faces of Estee Lauder, and work on the side with her sister Kylie on their clothing line “Kendall and Kylie”.

Kendall’s Instagram feed includes pictures of her on the runway, or art pieces/photo shoots of her.

Number 6: Kylie Jenner (96.3 Million)

One of the youngest entrepreneurs in the industry, Kylie Jenner belongs to the Kardashian-Jenner clan, who became famous because of her name and appearance in their family reality show, Keeping up with the Kardashian, but she reached real fame with the introduction of her makeup line Kylie Cosmetics.

It was she who started the makeup trend about using budge proof, pigmented, matte, liquid lipsticks, and having big lips instead of thin ones. She is only 16 years old and already a millionaire, contributing to the fashion and beauty industry on an everyday basis.

Her Instagram posts are mostly of her outfits of the day, makeup looks, and what new makeup is being launched in her Kylie Cosmetics line.

Number 5: Kim Kardashian West (102 Million)

Well, if you talk about the Kardashians without Kim it is not done. A reality star, socialite, businesswoman, and entrepreneur, Kim Kardashian is someone who made the best out of a bad situation and rose from the ashes.

Not only is she the co-owner of Kardashian beauty, a makeup line, with her sisters Khloe and Kourtney, she has her own separate beauty and clothing line as well, exclusively being sold at Nordstrom, a high end department store in the US.

In the past, Kim used to have one of the most extravagant and fashion forward Instagram feeds, however after the Paris incident, her posts have become a lot mellow and more centered on her family.

Number 4: Taylor Swift (102 Million)

I don’t think we need to give a whole lot of introduction on who Taylor Swift is; we have all heard her songs one time or the other.

A Grammy award winning singer, Taylor has been one of those artists who have received a lot of hate from snooty, music “enthusiasts” who criticized her songs and her singing. But that doesn’t change the fact that her songs are good and she has a beautiful voice.

Her Instagram is mostly filled with pictured of her cats, and perhaps that is one of the reasons why she has over 102 million followers.

Number 3: Beyonce (105 Million)

On number 3 we have the queen B herself, Beyonce. In the music industry, there are only a few people who can be as fierce as Beyonce and whose performances have such power and energy.

When she released her Mother-Marry inspired pregnancy shoot, it threatened to break the internet, and she continues to bait us with fashion shots and pictures of her anniversary tour with her hubby Jay Z.

Number 2: Ariana Grande (111 Million)

Just like the name of her world tour Dangerous Woman, Ariana Grande is a force to be reckoned with. Whether it is performing for the Victoria Secret fashion show or in her concerts, she has the voice of an angel and the power to grab the attention of the audience with her performance.

At present, her Instagram is mostly filled with backstage clips and selfies taken during her world tour for her fans who could not make it there.

Number 1: Selena Gomez (124 Million)

Yet another star that started their career in a Disney Channel show. Selena Gomez is not only the most followed female on Instagram but she is the most followed celebrity (including male and female) on this social media site.

She surpassed Taylor Swift to get to this spot, and it is needless to say, her posts are nothing short of fantastic. With a combination of sexy outfits for award functions, selfies with her beau, and other random art pieces for new music that she will release, Selena Gomez tops our list as the most followed female celebrity on Instagram.
