Women Are Taking 1,001 Photos of Female Bare Butts to Prove They Come in All Shapes and Sizes

98% women are insecure about their bodies and most of this dissatisfaction is centered around weight issues, like being too fat or too skinny. Women care too much about their appearances because to them, their appearance is something that plays a key role on how they are evaluated by others. Even though women are the one who truly dislikes themselves, these personal insecurities and dissatisfaction of women are often blamed on men. And most of the time this slot is occupied by these women’s husbands or boyfriends.
Men are usually more careful when they talk to their women about their body because they know that looks are more consequential for them. Even if he manages to watch his tongue when he is around her, sometimes things go the other way. Maybe he has just simply appreciated the hottest actress in the movie you were watching, the next thing comes to your mind is your partner’s feelings and his ideal preferences about women, which in turn leaves you with an endless amount of questions about your figure and your looks.
Why Women Feel Insecure About Their Body?
It’s not only women’s fault that they are not completely satisfied with their body. The hourglass-shaped beauties portrayed by painters are a perfect example of the stereotypical femininity that is highly exaggerated from ancient times. Similarly, nowadays, the never-ending advertisements on TV, in magazines and the internet, featuring the well-figured models and film stars, practically gives us the desire for a ‘perfect’ figure.
We can see many women who follow strict diet and exercises to become more slender even though they are blessed with a lean body.
Working out to stay fit and sexy is a great thing, but this kind of act is not to have a healthy disease-free body but to beat those women who they think have better assets than them. In fact, the truth is, women are more competitive than men when it comes to appearance, which clearly explains why a flat butt girl who is top-down gorgeous would want a butt implant to compete with the average girl who she figures have a sexy booty.
Breasts and butt are the main areas these women are dissatisfied with. Big, flat, small, saggy, lop-sided – the problems are endless. These highly insecure women opt so many unhealthy ways like implants & plastic surgeries to build a ‘better’ curve on their body.
The Project 1001 Fesses – Mission by Emilie Mercier And Frédérique Marseille
1001 Fesses (‘fess’ is the French word for bottom) is a program launched by two Montreal based artists named Emilie Mercier and Frédérique Marseille to celebrate the beauty of female butt. The project is to take photographs of 1001 women booties to get rid of the widespread obsession of hating our butt.
Who Are They?
Emilie and Marseille are two childhood friends and photographers who head the mission to take photographs for 1001 female bare butts, started the project by sharing the captivating image of their naked butts on Instagram. The duo also mentioned in their blog that they also had insecurities about their backside at one point of time and now they are exploring how other women feel about theirs.
What’s Their Objective?
According to Emilie and Marseille there is an amazing world of diversity out there. The main objective of this mission is to make women accept their backside in its own form.
The project 1001 Fesses began in 2014 is to take photographs of the naked backside of 1001 women, by which it is believed that after seeing so many different kinds of female butts, every woman gets a positive attitude towards their flaws. Most of the time women gets weird as well as criticizing comments about their butt for being too fat or too small or for any other flaws.
By this program Emilie and Marseille want women to realize how unique each woman is and the pair also believes that if they saw 1001 photos of other women’s naked booties, then they would start loving their own.
For the first batch of photographs, the pair managed to find more than 600 volunteers. All photos were taken in daylight, without revealing the identity of the model.
Right now, the team is trying to crowd-source funding to support their aim and complete the mission by collecting photos of 1001 women butts.
The crowd-funding money will be used to travel around the world and take photos of bare butts of women from other countries.
Last year they started a Facebook page describing the mission that got around 6500 followers in short time but has to shut down as per FB rules stating it had pornographic content. Now they have set up a new FB page to rebuild the open-minded butt loving community.
So far, they have captured photos of hundreds of bare female butts from women in France, Belgium, Switzerland, and Quebec. While the mission photographs are strictly shot by the duo themselves, they are also open to supporters emailing photos of their naked butts, which will be shared on the website of the mission.
The best way to make someone feel better about their problem is to show some examples where they can connect and know that someone else also has faced the same. Let’s hope the project could make difference among women mentality of hating their own bodies.
