We tried for more than a year and I almost thought that one of us was infertile, then we conceived after treatment. I would say do not go to fertility doctors until at least one year of trying. This means that if you are off of your birth-control pills, wait for six months and calculate one-year after that. Only if you do not conceive till then go for treatments.
